LAS VEGAS – Congresswoman Jacky Rosen needs to do her homework. With 40 days before Nevadans go to the polls, Rosen still has not said how she will fix health care in Nevada.
Rosen’s only line of attack? Shamelessly name-calling Dean Heller and misleading Nevadans in her television ads.
Unfortunately this is what we’ve come to expect from the freshman Congresswoman as it becomes clearer each and every day that when it comes to fixing the status quo of Nevadans’ unaffordable health care that Rosen, in fact, has no plan and offers no solution.
The truth of the matter is this: Congresswoman Jacky Rosen likes to throw out vague words but she fails to come clean about her own health care record. She offers Nevadans absolutely nothing on this issue.
And she’s broken her very own promises to her constituents.
Congresswoman Jacky Rosen promised to support repealing a 40 percent tax on employer-sponsored health insurance plans, but when a vote to simply stop the tax came up earlier this year, she voted no. Twice.
She also put the health care of Nevada’s children in jeopardy when she voted against funding the Children’s Health Insurance Program.
But don’t expect to hear about those votes from her – Jacky Rosen is more likely to be in California or New York rather than Nevada.
“Jacky Rosen wrote the book on breaking promises and caving to party leaders,” said Heller campaign spokesman Keith Schipper. “During her time in office Jacky Rosen has blatantly ignored her constituents’ needs by voting with Nancy Pelosi against bills that fund health care for vulnerable children and stop a harmful tax on working-class Nevadans.”
